Best Offers

Before you apply to any credit card, I recommend checking your credit score here.

The credit card points and miles journey starts with picking the best credit card. If you are new and need to get started, these in my opinion are the best credit card offers currently. Below you will find the list of credit cards that I recommend you apply for:

  1. Chase Sapphire Reserved
    1. This card is currently the best credit card offer out there at the moment. This is a must have for any travel and rewards enthusiast. They have a great sign-up bonus of 50,000 points (Used to be 100,000) when you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months of opening your account. There are so many possibilities with that many points and the airlines you can transfer points to. I will detail in later posts on my website on how I plan on using those points. Be aware there is a $450 annual fee but you are given a $300 travel credit which technically drops the fee to $150 a month. The big perk of this card is 3x points on travel and dining which is huge. This makes it a no-brainer. Apply here:chase-shapire
  2. Platinum Card from American Express
    1. You receive 60,000 bonus points after you spend $3,000 in purchases with-in the first 3 months of opening your account. There is a $450 annual fee but you do receive a $200 a year credit for airline fees. This biggest perk of this card if the 5X bonus points for flights booked directly with the airline or through American Express Travel. So if you fly a lot, you must get this card for the 5X points. Apply here:american-express
  3. AMEX Everyday Preferred
    1. You receive 15,000 AMEX bonus points after $1,000 in purchases with-in the first 3 months of opening your account. There is a $95 annual fee and foreign transaction fees. So don’t use this card when traveling internationally. You receive 3X points on groceries and 2X points on Gas and 1 point on everything else. The biggest perk of this card is the 50% bonus points when having 30 transactions in a billing period. So this means 4.5X points on groceries, 3.5X points on Gas and 1.5 points on everything else. Please note, there are many many many more credit cards out there to apply for. You might want to apply for another credit if you fly one airline all the time or you have an allegiance to a specific hotel chain. But no matter what credit cards you decide to apply to, I suggest you include one of these in your portfolio.

Enjoy the journey!
